Bodybuilding: Question on HOW to perform workout?
I'm looking to change up my routine, as I've been doing it for over a month now, and have seen no gains in muscle mass.
I am wondering, however, if this might be more down to how i've been doing the exercises. I've been doing them like: 1 set of Ex 1, 1 set of ex 2, 1 set of ex 3, rest, then back to Ex 1 for the second set etc. I do like this way of doing it, as it seems to take less time, but I'm thinking this might not be as effective as, say, 1 set of ex 1, rest for 60-90 seconds, then the 2nd set.
So the question is really, is the second way a better way to build muscle than the first?
My diet is very good, i get plenty of protein (real and supplemented). So i really should be making gains, as i've also been increasing the weight weekly. Thus, why i'm asking! Thanks
Okay, so the simple answer has nothing to do with your workout. It is simply about time. You said you have been on this plan for 3 weeks and have no muscle mass. the ANSWER is ... you probably shouldn't. When you perform workout the strengthening aspect comes first because you break open the smaller muscle fibers first that help stabilize weights. Im sure in 2-3 weeks of working out more you will see pretty sufficient gains in mass because you will start to break open those big fibers. Just keep it up and don't stop.
Diet is a plus to.
